Is Jal Or Ana Business Class Better

In my opinion the best Japan Airlines class of service or the one on ANA for that matters is business class. Wine in ANA should be better as the guy picking it is a Master of Wine and a nice guy to boot.

ANA is somewhat a joke with their catering - for instance I flew from Tokyo to Sydney in business class with ANA they dont have any first meal until we arrive into Sydney since they said it was red-eye flight.

In reality ANA has expanded more aggressively than JAL because a central condition of the latter legallys 2010 bankruptcy prevented it from making risky business moves. But when walking past the business class seats I noticed ANAs funny configuration. Although we had a clear winner in Asiana all of the airlines had great service or better.

Based on the reviews for these airlines it is clear this reputation is deserved and extends to the sky. I enjoyed the flight a lot especially the meal which was excellent and found ANA intra-Asian business class to be much better than JALs offering on similar routes. I think the main takeaway is that Japan has 2 fantastic airlines and you cant go too far wrong choosing either of them. ANA has dropped the ball dramatically in food quality of late and JAL has taken up the slack and done very well.

This of course does not necessarily reflect the ANA is better than JAL. My family only flies economy as business class on the routes we take cost at minimum 5000 USD- thus I apologize for the lack of experience but I can only provide photos. Its also very difficult to beat a 1-2-1 configuration the likes of which ANA has in business class and if push came to shove I would still go for ANAs hard product albeit narrowly.

Hi Ben - planning a trip from SFO to Tokyo for 2017. Japan Airlines JAL. While JAL has the same departure time as ANA but they have FULL meals service.

This is not to say that ANAs felt bad but I think maybe the fact that the economy seats have a lined fabric and the soothing colors just made me feel more comfortable in the JAL 787 versus the ANA. I dont eat caviar and the other enhancements of first vs. In general the hard product and service are very good on both.

The best First Class airline lounge is the incredible Lufthansa First Class Terminal which beats any other First Class lounge but overall Japan Airlines is a great product and First IS better than Business Class. There was a small cutout for all window seat passengers to exit hisher seat without having to bother the aisle-seat passenger but the seats were close enough to each other to allow the two passengers to converse and dine together. Each seat offered direct aisle access and a high privacy wall to separate the two passengers. Businessslightly larger seat somewhat better food more attentive servicedont justify the huge increase in cost. I really cannot put my finger on it but JALs cabin overall just felt better. The new mattress toppers are great the duvets are solid and the privacy in this seat is truly unsurpassed for business class. Which do you prefer overall JAL or ANA in business class.

At least based on this flight and my JAL flights from Jakarta to Tokyo and from Tokyo to Delhi. JAL beats ANA in business class awards JAL ranking 4th while ANA ranks 6th. Unfortunately the company is restricting his selections and what they offer is good but does not stand out.

In my opinion this is the very best business class hard product which is airline geek for things that are fastened to the aircraft and ANA continues to excel in flight service catering and innovation. For the best First Class seats consider Cathay Pacific Singapore Airlines Etihad or Emirates with its First Class shower on the A380. I rather JAL over ANA business class.
